At Shoreline Framing we use archival materials and museum-quality techniques to ensure your artwork is beautifully presented and preserved for years to come. Each project is personally designed by artist and photographer Fauna Joy, combining conservation framing techniques with an artist’s eye for balance, color, and presentation.
Most custom framing projects begin around $300, with final pricing based on size, moulding, matting, glazing and preservation needs.

My creative life began in the quiet countryside, shaped by animals, nature, and a deep love of art. I studied at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, where I learned not only how to create work, but how thoughtful presentation elevates meaning. In art school, I often built my own frames, developing an early appreciation for craftsmanship, detail, proportion, and design.
Today, through both Shoreline Framing and Fauna Joy Photography, I continue to explore the joy of creating art and the equally meaningful work of presenting it well. I love helping artwork, photographs, and personal pieces feel complete — not overdone, but beautifully supported.
At Shoreline Framing, I specialize in custom framing that enhances the piece rather than overpowers it, with careful attention to balance, materials, and story.

Learn the craft. Begin your journey into the Art of Custom Framing. As a Frame Noir Apprentice, you will learn the foundations of professional framing while creating a timeless black-and-white framed piece to take home. (Second Tuesday)
Beyond Noir: The Journeyman
Discover the art of design. Go beyond the basics and discover how colour, texture, and proportions work together to elevate artwork. Complete a professionally curated framed piece while learning the principles of custom frame design. (Third Tuesday)
Atelier Custom: The Artisan
Create your own masterpiece and bring your vision to life. Design and build a one-of-a-kind larger custom framed piece selecting your own moulding, matting and materials while learning professional techniques-including cutting your own mat. The workshop expands beyond the fundamentals into true custom frame design. (First and Fourth Tuesday)

Please Note: Shoreline Framing specializes in high-quality, custom-designed framing using archival and museum-quality materials. Most projects begin around $300. Frame repairs or adjustments typically begin at $100.
Turn around time: Because every project is handcrafted and unique, we do not provide promised or estimated completion dates. Due to the custom nature of our work, vendor lead times, and circumstances out of our control timelines vary. Framing projects are completed in the order in which they are received. Minimum turn around at the present time is 30 days.
Payment: Payments are due in full upon order.
